Our latest free quarterly update can be downloaded here.

A number of reforms have commenced from the beginning of the new financial year, including credit licensing for debt management service providers, the financial advice fee reforms, and the Your Future Your Super package.

One of the themes over recent months has been the regulatory response to changes in markets and technology. Draft legislation to modernise business communications has been released, and ASIC has issued guidance and consultation on activist short selling campaigns and financial products linked to crypto-assets. Proposals for the reform of the ePayments Code and retail payments regulation more generally have also been published for consultation.

We hope that you find the update useful.
